Amino acids as contaminants
We offer three different methods for the determination of amino acids as contaminants as described below. In the absence of a specific request, all products will be analysed by GC-MS (A785), the most reliable method.
- For information about the choice of method please contact info@cat-online.com
Semi-quantitative determination via GC-FID
(Order code: A445, SOP: A.0.6.)
- fast screening
- suitable only for contamination-free amino acids and some amino acid derivatives
- unsuitable for Histidine and its derivatives
- not all amino acids will be determined
Quantitative determination via GC-FID
by Enantiomerlabeling (A47X, SOP: A.0.6.1.)
-
determination of all proteinogenic amino acids
- suitable only for contamination-free amino acids and some amino acid derivatives after determination of their enantiomeric purity via GC-FID
-
A minimum of seven working days are required for analysis
- unsuitable for Histidine and its derivatives
Quantitative determination via GC-MS
by Enantiomerlabeling (A785, SOP: A.0.6.3.)
- precise and fast determination of all proteinogenic amino acids
- high reliability due to the selectivity of the mass selective detection even for contaminated samples
